On 23rd September, in Hefei City, the Education Department of Anhui Province convened the training seminar with regard to Chinese teaching materials edited by People’s Education Publishing House. Attendees included teacher Ye Wenjuan from Anqing Foreign Language School and 200 key teachers from Grade 7 around Anhui Province.
This training session lasted one day. Initially in the morning, Director Zhu Yuguo with the Chinese Office of People’s Education Press, unscrambled the ‘Curriculum Standards’ of the 2011 edition. He set forth the explanation from the perspective of the textbook editors.Other than that, Director Zhu Yuguo explained the characteristics of Junior High Chinese subject, enabling the teachers present to comprehend the persistent principles of the new version, the amendment, the classification of the revision in addition to the new spirit& ideas in the textbooks.
Furthermore, Director Zhu Yuguo further interpreted the new teaching materials by means of four keywords: morality education, Chinese attainment, reading system and multi-establishment.
In addition, Doctor Chen Hengshu with the Chinese Office of People’s Education Press, issued the themed lecture entitled ‘the Official Textbook of Compulsory Education. the Compiled Illustration of the Grade 7 Chinese Discipline(Volume One). After the brief introduction of the basic train of thought, Doctor Chen addressed the teaching suggestions of each text unit by unit. Afterwards, delegates viewed and emulated two reference demonstration lessons based on the new teaching materials all together.
To sum up, this training forum was concise and high efficient. All teachers took notes earnestly, thought positively and exchanged their teaching puzzles during the recess. They all expressed one after another that they would promptly integrate the ideas, the design thoughts as well as the learning& teaching methods of the new teaching materials into their classroom teaching.
